The Strawberry Maintenance Runs for 08 have been posted on the calendar.
Sunday May 18 Spring Maintenance Run.
Saturday October 18 Fall Maintenance Run.
Please attend one or both of these runs to keep our trail clean. Just as a reminder to keep member status one maintenance run a year is required.
Thanks....

This morning we met at Fresh Pond around 8:30am and were on the road by 9:00. We had a great turn out as you can see from the list above and a Big Thank You to everyone who was able to attend.
We got to the Strawberry trail head and aired-down around 10:00. As we headed up the trail, there wasn't very much maintainence that was needed. There were a few fell trees that needed to be moved out of the trail as well as some over-hanging branches. We were able to get past V-Rock and Pinch-Rock without any problems. Headed up the trail and ran into two other jeeps that had stopped in the middle of the trail for lunch. Just beyond them was a large deep patch of snow going up hill that they were sure we wouldn't be able to make. Good thing for deturmination, straps and a good winch. After we got everyone up to the top of that hill, we tryed to see how far we could get and ended up at the point where, if you recall last years run, Dan H. broke his front u-joint. There was enough snow at that elevation that we had to turn around at that point.
Good time for lunch. As we were headed down, George had the misfortune of blowing his right front bead while winching Tom up a snow bank. After Tom was freed by Eric, who strapped him backwards, he and Jim & Lynette went down a bit further and started their Member BBQ (Congratulations!) set up. After a wonderful lunch of Tri-Tip, BBQ Chicken and many other things, we headed out and Dave decided to end up in the middle of a tree after sliding down an icy trail. So the hi-lift jack was brought out and he was freed. Everyone available started shoveling dirt onto the ice to enable everyone else to make it down safely. Once down at the end of the trail, everyone aired back up and went our seperate ways.
Again Thank You to everyone who came out! We had a great time and weather to match. See you at the Fall Maintainence Run!
