Hello Posse!
A run to Nevada would be great. Not sure what the conditions for Bronco will be in March but we can check the Reno4x4 board a few weeks prior to the run. It was a real booger when it was wet. I wood hate to see it coated in Snow and Ice.
Would you guys be planning on a "Day Trip" or a whole weekend with perhaps n early get out of town on Friday?? There are SO many areas to play..... Another area is to go down and run into Bodie (9,000') from the backside. This normally ends up being a snow / ice run but is beautiful. There is always something to do in the desert. If everyone wants just a hard core rock run we might be able to get some help and run Budweiser or something though I like my sheetmetal too much to do Budweiser from what I have heard and seen.
Hopefully, Obama won't have the State of Nevada closed by then..... 😯

I found this thread with pictures from a group's Bronco Canyon run last March. Looks like it could be pretty difficult with water.

When Scott and I went a couple years ago it was late May and we ended up in a fluke snow storm.

We were talking about that snow storm in our dinner meeting. None of us could remember when you went, but we assumed that it was in the winter because of the snow and picked March. Should be pick another date?
I don't know anything about Budweiser. Is there more info somewhere? I'm guessing there were a couple of folks that perked up at the idea of a challenge.

I have not been on the trail though it is very close to Reno. It is right off of North McCarren in the Peavine OHV area....
Here is a link to thread on the Reno 4x4 Board.

I think this trail would be a handful in the snow but not too bad if dry. I will look for some additional opportunites. I tend to head out into the desert a little more than hit the rock trails.

Maybe we can postpone this trip. I really want to go on it, but it's just a couple of weeks before my Hammers trip and I don't want to take the chance of breaking something prematurely. Of course we need to know how many people are planning to go on the 21st before we reschedule it.
I used to wheel a lot. . .
