The committee crossing is closed until Sept. 29th. They are replacing the PG&E bridge above the lake. There is no way arou d it. Our only option now is to run up the trail and then all the way back out to the eagle lakes staging area where we start. We could shoot for say winch hill 3 or 4 then turn around and head out. It will make it a long day. Are you guys still up for that?

That's funny! I never thought about that approach.
This will be my first time (all the way across ish) with my current jeep I've only been on WH's 4 and 5 with my black jeep.

Rob John and I ran the entire trail from air down to air up at Hwy 89 in 4 hrs.
I expect we'd probably run most of the trail and then back down in a day. The committee crossing is closed because of PG&E work, so it's not an option here.
