Sunday, September 25th.
This opportunity is being offered based on board request. If you would like to go out there and drive around in the new 4x4 area, you are welcome to attend too.
This clinic will cover (will vary based on attendee experience):
Intro to 4wheel drive basics
Situational exercises
Technical discussions on some 4x4 terms and the reason they're important (break over angle, crawl ratio, cosmetic options v. functional options, etc.)
Vehicle inspection with discussion on by-law requirements including what a "well maintained" vehicle means.
Anything else people want to discuss.
Some basic rules -
We'll go to lunch afterwards, so be prepared to eat somewhere cheap, hang out, and talk about what we just spent the past 4 hours doing.
Bring some drinks if you feel you'll get thirsty.
I'll have a rough agenda, but please bring issues/ideas/concerns you'd like addressed to.
Bring a recovery strap for each rig. I'll get "stuck" and we can learn how to recover a rig.
I think they open at 8am. If so, we can meet at 830 in the staging area at the 4wd entrance.
Please reply here if you'd like to go for fun, attend the clinic, participate in the clinic, or hang out!
Thanks,
Brad

We saw this flyer at the last meeting. Looks like a good place to post it.

still relatively new to the sport (2 years) and my 4x buddy just got her licence
so shes really new better to learn the correct way than on her own
There's a $5 per vehicle fee at the front gate. I've not been to PC for a number of years and it looks like the 2+ years of modifications are done. Should be fun!

Charge is $5 per vehicle
They'll give you a map. Drive to the end of the paved road and the staging area is on your left. Drive until you see the 4x4 entrance and we'll meet close to there.

My Jeep front axle is wider than your truck and I fit with no problem. I am 86 inches outside of tire to tire. The gate is about 89 inches wide.

im ready but something came up at last minutemy apologies
Sorry we missed ya Rayzor. I'm confident of plenty of future meetups.
The clinic today was really fantastic. Sorry to beat Brad to it in saying, at least for me, it was a success. We covered lots of up front talk for things like etiquette, gear, communication, protection, and other beneficial material. We had some folks drive away with left parts at PCOHV actually. 😯 TomD, thanks for pulling me off of my very own table top. 😛 I'm having a hard time deciding whether my buddies Bronco action move on the steep inclined hill or Jeff's straight up and over on the creek rock bed.
I've got some photos and some videos recorded. I like to use sites such as photobucket and youtube to post such material. However, as a courtesy I'd like to receiver permission prior to doing so. Please send either post here or send my a PM. Here are the name I believe I recall to each rig:
Mike - Bronco
BGKM Jeepers (Brad) - Black JK
Jason (Huck) - Black JK
Anoop - White JK?
TomD (Tom) and Ronie - Cherokee
RockinCrawler (Richard) - Solo Yota
Path 88 (Jeff) - Dodge Redneck Hulk
Don - Black Hardtop JK?
Sorry If I'm missing someone and so please let me know. If you have any shots/footage of me, then let me know also.
I am fine with emailing the media directly to you for your own usage.
Thanks so much and if this is how the Club rolls, then you've got me hooked!
Cheers
