i thought we were considering a fair grounds visit, but didn't hear anything.  So I'm thinking some kind of snow run?

We believe the fair grounds event is the show & shine that's on April 30th, which conflicts with Greg's Silver State run. Looks like nothing else is planned for April 2nd.

El dorado home show requires 1,000,000 in insurance from our club to host a booth.   Thoughts?

How much would that be in real dollars from the club? I mean how much would a one day policy cost?

We will be coming back from Tahoe that day and could meet you guys somewhere if you do a run. Even if it's not a newbie run AKA Fordyce if someone has 2 empty seats we wouldn't mind riding along

Fordyce progressively gets harder and being partial snow covered would make for some fun interesting wheeling.  This would leave the option for anyone to push as far as they feel comfortable and could then wait for the return of the group if they didn't want to forge ahead.

Um...what?

I'd be up for it. I need to hit PC some time this week after work to flex and check clearances. Don't want to trash the new hydro-assist. 🙂

I'm concerned about for dice this time of the year because it's quite a drive and there's an off camber section that's in the shade.  If the snow there is sloped we'd have to turn around. Do you know if anyone's confirmed its passable?

Well I have no input on what trail to choose since we're new here but we'll meet you guys and I think that as long as we have a group with us my wife will feel more at ease with going on the trail

Maybe something at a lower elevation would be more user friendly...like Prairie City! I think Fordyce is tough enough in the mid-summer.

Event insurance is cheap, a $1,000,000 policy should be less than $200

Cheap is relative!  That's 20% of our current club balance for a 1 day show...

I would only go to PC to test out mods or hold the 4wd basics clinic.

The clay at PC is miserable to clean off.

I'm hoping for a snow run if possible.  Has the seasonal road closure been lifted as of 4/1?

Ok. Let's see who's confirmed.

We need 4 rigs to commit.

Requirements:

front and rear recovery points.

1 locker

tow strap

tires 33" or larger

Chainsaw not required but bring one if you have it!

if I get confirmation by Thursday we will make the trip a go!
