I will be leading a Christmas tree hunting run. Pending dates are looking like Nov 30, Dec 1, or Dec 8th. Maybe more than one of those dates depending on my family.

Please get your permits soon from El Dorado NF. You can buy 2 per address and they are $10 each. I am trying to reserve a group for the club but no luck yet and they are already half sold out. The Placerville FS office has them for sale until 4pm every day.

If possible, can someone pick one up for me since it is too far to drive just to get a permit.

Saturday the 30th. Time to meet 10am at MET On the right after the second dam (where all the mountain bikers park). Will be in the bright green Jeep JLU with a soft top.

I got home around 5:50pm. It was a great run. Chad and I went higher up than the rest of the group and cut some spruce trees. The snow was about 32”deep where we found our trees. Thanks Kris for organizing this run.

Was a good run. Went up about a mile past north south, had lunch and played in the snow. F150 and the scout pushed on further. Brian got distracted and was busy playing rescue. After lunch we headed back down and got stuck at the back of a ~50 rig backup on the hill before pebble canyon. Waited about a half hour to clear and then pulled off a mile of so further down and got a good tree.

We took advantage of their 20ft limit.
