Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the late reply.
I wanted to try and start a new trend. I'm going to make an effort to put a brief summary of the meetings online for those that can't attend to be current. If I leave something out, please feel free to add or make corrections. (I might sometimes accidentally be talking while something important is being said and I may on occasion not get my facts correct...)
Officer Update:
Voting was pretty simple and calm this year. (The Covid years got my timing messed up on who was up, but I can tell you):
Kris is still the fantastic President.
I'm still the amazing Veep.
Kat is still the wonderful Treasurer.
Jamie (hope you're doing better!) is still our awesome Web Master.
The new and fun Trail Master: Bryan! ------Tim, thank you for all you did! Don't think this gets you off the hook with the club, you're stuck with us!!
Repair of the trail:
Got another new contact with the Forrest Service. Kris is establishing a relationship with her. Hopefully, she will be willing to stick around longer to build rapport and help us in moving forward with our vision of the trial.
Money raised from Christmas party:
I forgot what Kathleen said. But I'm sure it was amazing!
$20 club dues were/are due. You have until the Feb meeting and then we kick you to the curb.
We had one new guest, please introduce yourself.
Josh has fantastic plans for trail adventures this upcoming year. He will keep us posted!
Kris discussed a snow camping trip.
Dates for snow runs were discussed. (There might be enough snow up there this year to have one! haha!)
I mailed 4 Thank You cards from the club to the outfits that helped with our Kiosk. Philip at Minute Man Press, All Star Rents, Dan Funderberg - helped design the map and sent it in PDF form to Minute Man, and Brandon at Tread Lightly Inc., who helped as well in the design.
Nic with American River Conservancy came again! Yeah. He offered some great opportunities for us to get educated, become better stewards of our land, and have summer fun with the kids. (I've posted a different thread with this info.)
That's all I have in my notes. Please add to this if I missed anything.
See ya'll soon!
