The family and I are going to leave Folsom after church (around 11:30) and head to loon. I'm thinking about camping around Spider Lake and continuing to Tahoe on Monday. I know this is last minute but all are welcome. This is not a beginner run as I want to make spider before dark to set up camp in daylight.

Hey, it's Father's day - What did you pick for your day? mr-green

That will teach my family to ask me what I want to do for my day!

Now Cattlemans is something I could explore further next year. This year it is all-you-can-eat at big thunder ranch bbq for me. At least we had a similar dinner in mind!

When I'm a dad, it's all wheeling!! It will probably be the only time I could get my wife on the trail.

Um...what?

See, I can already wheel whenever I want - so why use my "voucher" on something I can already do?

I was on the Rubicon yesterday. Perfect day and zero people on the trail. Saw 6 rigs total. Two were on or past Cadillac.

See? Rubicon on Tuesday and Disneyland on Saturday. No problem!

Thanks everyone for their info but I am going to change plans and cruise the eagle lakes area. I'm not yet comfortable running the con solo with the family.

I thought Bill had updated.

After the Eagle Lakes run, they went to Tahoma for the night and ran the trail this morning. Last I heard was 10am with a text message of starting the trail. Just putting this up for awareness and I have yet to hear from him at time of this post.

Ok I changed my mind on the run. No guts no glory right? The jeep did so good on eagle lakes we decided to go for it! What a great day. Except for a few rubithon Toyotas we had the trsil to our selves. It took us 9.5 hours andthat is with two loooooong stops to keep the kids from killing each other. Total trail time was 8 hours. Trail was in great condition. Ended up taking the old sluice instead of slabs cammie dont like side hills. This was the crux of the day and with cammies one and only spot we made it with ease. However this is the first time I have seen the little sluice since it was changed. Cam and I agreed that it looked easier than old sluice. All and all a great day. Cant wait to do it again!
