I'll be at PC Thursday 5/16 about 4pm or so and be there couple hours. Maybe some of you have time too.
Few reasons for me is that I took off front sway bar and want to know how it all responds.
Also, I've not takin' my sweet time to learn my rig placement on certain terrain. Figured I needed to get a little prepared to "feel" my way solo. Warning, I'll be taking my time. Previously, some of you guys have kindly directed me.
See you there if you can make it, I'll have CB on Posse channel 10.
cheers
(possibly use this thread entirely for any PC occasions, I don't mind, just be clear about day/time)

Carl, I wish I could meet you out there for a shakedown but I'll be working on my rig right up to Saturday evening. Thank goodness nothing major or I'd be a bit worried as well.
As far as swaybar, I didn't encounter the issues some might report in the forums and blogs. Then, a lifted Jeep (or any vehicle) is not a sports car and I was raised with vehicles that never had swaybars to begin with. What I did notice was going to stiffer springs took care of some of the sway I encountered. For freeways, keeping to the posted speeds ... even around corners ... is not an issue.
That said, it will respond a bit differently to steering input and might make you a bit uneasy at the beginning until you get used to it.

Just thought to post this up if anyone might be interested. I'll probably be there as just good reason to get out there. I'll post what time I think I'll be there.

5th Annual Sierra Chapter Holiday Toy Drive, November 17th, 2012
Hard to beleive, but Christmas is right around the corner. Time for the Sierra Chapter's 5th Annual Holiday Toy Drive. Same format as usual with collection points at Prairie City in Rancho Cordova, and at Hollister Hills in Hollister. Check this thread for more details regarding meet up time and locations in the parks once the date gets closer.
Everyone is invited regardless of the type of vehicle you drive.
Participants are asked to bring a NEW unwrapped toy worth at least $5 suitable for a young boy or girl. All toys collected will be donated to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program in Early December.
Once you donate your toy, hang around and meet some of your fellow members and have some fun in your your rig.

A Toy Run before thanksgiving? Now that's starting early! Sounds like a great cause - toys for tots...

I'll be out there from 9am to Noon for sure. Will have lunch that I'll bring or get something at the mart place there.
Bring your rain gear as it seems like a bit more for Saturday.
