The Hi-Landers Toy Run is coming up on Dec. 3rd. The Posse always has a good turnout for this event and we all have a lot of fun. Bring one, new, unwrapped toy to donate. There are a lot of cool 4x4 rigs to check out, there is food and drinks, and there is a large raffle that we usually do pretty good with. Let's all make plans to be there in large numbers this year and have a lot of fun. For more information, visit http://www.hi-landers.com/toy/.....y_Run.html

I used to wheel a lot. . .

Count Ronie and me in. I've seen pics of rigs decorated in Christmas regalia so might need to get my creative juices flowing to decorate our "sleigh".

They do have an award for the best decorated vehicle.

They do have an award for the best decorated vehicle.

But you need to drive your decorated rig in the parade to qualify for the award!

I think I can make that happen.

I wanted to bump this up and remind everyone to:

Show up becuase it's for a great cuase - Christmas Promise
Try to get there around 8AM, if earlier, meet at McDonalds across the street.
Be sure to sign in for both you and your family under the Gold Hills Posse 4x4 Club in their check-in binder
Bring some bucks for raffle tickets
Dress warm and bring a folding chair
Bring a $5 or more new unwrapped gift as a donation
If you don't plan on running in the parade, feel free to bring some RC cars to play with during that time. There is a rock course right next to where we park, and the parking lot is excellent for on-road RC's.

If you show up late (barring any changes) we should be along the far right curb when you enter, in one long line!

On the topic of decorating our rigs ...

1 - Do we do a club "theme" or just what we feel led to do?
2 - Is there a review process? Entrants are representing the club, after all.

Not going all "legal" or anything, just want to make sure we (n00bs and "tenured" members) are all on the same page. mr-green

I know the Toy Run begins early, what time is it typically over?

Just so Ronie and I know if we go home and come back for the Christmas Party.

I'm currently planning on attending. I also second Tom's other question about event duration. 8am to.... Noonish?

Thought I'd give this a bump. Ronie and I are brainstorming some decorating ideas for the Toy Run so we can represent the Gold Hills Posse in the parade. Should be fun!! party

BAH ... won't be in the parade this year. Started taking apart the brakes and found more things to do than I have time to get them done before the Toy Run Parade. Not going to take any chances. We'll still be there, though.

Club and us) picked up 8 scooters total plus other stuff. If you don't know what to get helmets would be a good choice.

not decorating but will have the posse banner + Posse stockings + Duct tape. If anyone has string, we could probably do a better job hanging the stockings... :dunno:

Us too! Busy Saturday coming up! Need gifts for the party (already have gifts for the toy run). Need chocolate for the party too. Also need to bring money for both raffles!

Plus members can also donate items to the club raffle as well.

Remember to bring a gift exchange gift too, if you'd like to participate in this extra event!
