Sounds like it will be a good time, but not this year for me.

Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately, I've got another use for my upcoming time off.

How long is the drive? Is it during the week or on the weekend?

I plan on going with a work buddy. Were going in his tow rig and will be hauling his rock rig. We plan to do a little wheeling when we get tired of the race.

Um...what?

Yes, it's a long drive. Over 12 hours.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

This is all good information. Even though I'm not going this year, there are lots of comments that will aid me in making plans for future events.

Sounds like there might be a couple of you interested. For those of you going PM me and we can discuss details of arrival and where we might want to camp.(lake bed is the most common spot). Huck the KOH starts with the last chance qualifiers on monday the 6th i think. the races go through the week and finish on the weekend of the 11th.
I am planning on heading out there tuesday night but could be persuaded to take the whole week off.

Time for some wheeling and carnage (hopefully other peoples rigs and not mine this time mr-green )

Your best bet for cell service is at the end of Boone Rd by the highway when you first turn in. Otherwise, there's the cell phone bush on the far side of the lakebed, but you have to know which one it is.
