Ok we are definitely in for this one we won't be a part of the chili cook off but we won't mind being judges...
We will be bringing tons of stuff for Smores, tons of hot chocolate and maybe some dogs for those who want chili-dogs and a fire pit and firewood.
Being that we have been gone for so lo g this is going to be like a coming home day for us to see our posse family I sure hope to see everyone there

Ok just dug out all our snow gear and sleds, my firepit and started gathering wood and bought a ton of chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers we are getting ready for this snow trip!
I'll still get some hotdogs and buns with mustard and hot chocolate for the day in the snow
I sure hope to see as many of our posse family out there for this trip as it's been a long long time since we've been out as a family

DarDarn it brother I was hoping to see you this weekend. We'll hopefully I'll be around more now that we're hitting the 1 year mark
Mike, I hate to miss this run and seeing you and your family again but I'm painting the interior of our house and I need to get our guest room painted before new furniture gets delivered on Tuesday. Have a great time!

Well if it rains it's just going to be me and my older boys but I should be around more often but I still don't have my trail rig done so I'm hoping to get that done sooner over later.
But I'll be around every chance I can be now that we're hitting the 1 year mark...

I am actively watching for forecast and it is still a mixed bag. Current predictions are for 2ft of fresh on MET tonight and then mixed conditions going into the weekend. The temps are looking higher so it should be more traditional sierra cement with a 50/50 chance of rain/snow (likely slush). Not currently seeing enough to call off the chili but may consider if the forecast gets worse.

I'll have a 10'x10' EZ-up for any cooking under, that's where I'll have my fire with hotdogs and Smores

I just heard the weather report on the radio coming in to work & looked at the online National Weather Service for Sly park (& above) & it looks to be now a "winter storm watch" with 80/90% rain/snow for Friday night/Saturday. This looks to be another weather event & would suggest to watch it closely. We still don't have our Jeep back from our venture to the previous snow patrol, so we would take out truck. If the weather is dumping, no joy for us. Be aware of the black ice section(s)!

It is looking like it will be light snow or rain at our typical parking spot as this is turing out to be a warm storm. Please still dress warmly but plan on it raining a bit. Bring your EZ-ups. For those planning on going snow wheeling up the hill just not that it will be storm conditions and will be snowing further up. Since there will be rain the lower snow will likely melt so people trying to get to kirkwood will again be a concern.
