Rob thank you for taking Andrew and I through the lower half of Fordyce today! It was a blast. Andrew (my co-pilot) had a great time and will be coming to co-pilot more in the future I just know it. For those who didn't come here is how the day went.

Met up with Rob at 8a at the Starbucks past Auburn.
Drove to the trail and aired down started toward drive-line hill at 10:30.
No bypasses today I followed Rob everywhere he went, pretty much.
On Winch hill .5 ( this is a new spot according to Rob. He took pics for the forest service. It said it was a foot deeper than when he saw it last week. I got turtled on the last rock. Got to use the winch for a little tug.
Ate lunch in a little clearing right before winch hill 1. (1p)
On Winch hill 1 I didn't use the winch but I did get too far to the left and when trying to back up I got a little turtled. We threw a rock or two under my back tire and I was free. Proceeded up the hill to the top. We followed Rob's line and went over the top with out any issue.
On Winch hill 2 it really wasnt that bad. We weren't sure why it got mentioned but the section right before it doesn't have a name.
After winch hill 2 we headed out toward Fordyce Road (crossing the river for the 4th or 5th time) Water level was nice came up to the bottom of the doors but not a threat.
Aired up at the gas station by cisco grove by 4p and were home by 5p.

Thanks again Rob it was a blast! Next time we will plan to spend the day and go all the way through!!

Huck

Sounds like fun. I hope to join you next year after locker number two arrives! 😀

You need a locker?

Anyone run it open?

Fordyce is a tough trail. They call the winch hills winch hills for a reason. I'm sure people run it open. But it's always nice to have a locker.

Um...what?

Winch Hills 1, 3, and 4 would be tough without a locker or some serious stacking.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I'm glad you had a good time. Hopefully you didn't get to many new dings under your rig. After we left you at Fordyce lake, we jammed back down the trail and up to winch hill 3 so I could take some pics for the forest service. The last picture of me me is coming down the bypass at WH 3. It is a 7 foot verticle wall.
