Okay, this is my first hosted run. So go easy on me.
We are suppose to get a lot of snow this week. The forecast is looking promising. So with the hopes of fresh powder in the mountains, I am planning a night snow run on Friday March 16th. The plan is to meet at the subway at the Sly Park exit on 50 at 7pm We will then head out to Iron Mountain and see how far we can get. There's a good chance it may still be snowing on Friday, so plan for a good time. We will wheel around, throw snow balls and generally play around and then head home around midnight.
I would like at least 4 vehicles to confirm for this run to happen. Due to the fact it may still be snowing, it may be a long night for less modified vehicles. But you can always follow in everyone's track. Bring a good attitude and can do spirit and we will have a good time.
Um...what?

I would have to talk to the wife about either of those days. But I had a blast on our last night snow run.
If people chime in and want a different day we can explore that option.

Went out Iron Mountain today to see how far I could go... Was very disappointed in the lack of snow up there. Went all the way through to 88. We made it almost to Silver Fork Rd before actually needing 4wd. That is 4-5 miles from 88. There were lots of play areas to have fun in, but since it was just Logan and I, we decided to stay on the main road and not get too crazy. On the way back out, we did stop at the mud hole at Park Creek Rd. Water was over the top of my 35's
I am hoping for this week to bring lots of new snow. I can run out there Thursday and let you know how its looking... Might think about going down Silver Fork Road back to Kyburz. It didnt look like anyone had been down that way...
