Plummer Ridge Trail

    Hi gang. I'm putting together a trip to Plummer Ridge. It will be on June 27th starting out in Grizzly Flats running up the ridge to the look out tower near the top of Mormon Emigrant Trail and back down. So far it is Dale and me with some friends and a few coworkers. We will be doing hotdogs, hamburgers and stuff at the look out area. We would love to have anyone from the club that would like to come out and join us.

    Get some pictures for us and let me know the condition of the trail, reading about this trail online makes it seem like one worth mapping.

    Some are meeting at the safeway gas station here in rancho cordova at 730am or for others that are closer to grizzly flats we will be meeting at the grizzly flats post office at 900am. I went up there yesterday scouting out some stuff and mapping out a few places.

    What is the difficulty of this trail? We've not attached the brackets for our sway bar disconnects and might not have time before this weekend... And also should we bring chainsaws and the like??

    Its a mild trial. Stock jeep no problem. Most of it is path trail. Don't see a need for a chain saw but wouldn't hurt. I'm going to bring a hand saw and loppers.

    Very good. We are looking forward to exploring somewhere new. Do you have a final count of people? I'm bringing chips and fun dips (trying new recipes!) and a bunch of water!!! 😀

    We will meet u guys at the PO at Grizzly Flats at 9:00. I have 3 kinds of chips, 3 kinds of dip, a case of water and an 8 pack of Gatorade. See u then. 🙂 🙂

    We are home. Wow!! What a beautiful day. Plummer Ridge Trail was just spectacular. A perfect day, it had some easy spots and some not so easy spots! And the food was delicious. You guys out did yourselves. I have 4 million pictures that I will post. I even mimicked my Jeeping Icon Gregulator and took some selfies!

    So glad everyone had such a good time. The trial was even better then I had read about. We will have to plan another run up there later in the year.

    Thanks Brent and Dale for organizing and lead the run. Betty and I hand such a blast, it was so beautiful and the food was great. Early congrats see you at the next meeting.

    I'm looking at putting together another run up there in mid September. This time start on the upper half and add in a few more trials up top.
