Prairie City is having a visitor appreciation day to officially open the new 4x4/off-road area that's been rebuilt over the last couple of years. There will be vendors, exhibits, etc from 10AM-5PM ... and it's all free for the day.

I'm planning on going there on my way back from Tuolumne. My time though will be somewhere around 2-3pm though.
I won't have net access during the weekend until I come out of the mtns, so I'll PM my phone number to Tom. Only important for contact if anyone is thinking of being there around that time.
Thanks!

Not sure how early I'll be going out. Work days are REALLY long for a bit so might be sleeping in ... I know Willie will and he's going out with me.
I'll have the CB as well. We can designate a channel for Sunday as well as exchange mobile numbers.

OK, so it appears I'll be arriving at PC somewhere around 11AM. Willie has been working some long hours this week (not home today after 11 hours) and owes it to his health to sleep in while a buddy of mine says he'll head out there with me after church. Carl, I have your phone number ... I'll send you mine.
I'll also be running CB ch12 once in the 4x4 area. Shouldn't be too hard to find an XJ but one never knows.
Sound off once you get out there.

Well, I don't have a CB...yet.
Drove by PC about 1:30 on Scott Rd, Tom was already out the gate for home, and it was quite packed in there. I just pulled off to the shoulder to see and plenty of rigs running around. Bit muddy on the dirt hills we ran on the clinic day. Good thing to see activity though.

There were some pretty cool demos put on by the Zombies and POTR who made the "King of the Hill" look like a bump in the road with their buggies.
The "whoop-de-doos" are now full of water and part of the "mud fun" ... I'm OK staying on the dirt, thanks.
A few more sections of the mini-Rubicon were done but appears to still have a ways to go before completed.
Best part of day was Willie taking a turn on the dirt hill and the cobble course at the south end of the hill climb, then taking the less extreme of the 3 hill climbs by himself ... with spotting, of course. Lunch was a conversation about building an off-road rig and HE brought it up. WOOT!
