Hello all, I am heading up to the Rubicon for the day this Sunday 5/24. So far my self and a friend in a Scout will be going. I would love to have any one come along. We will be leaving Folsom at 9:00 am and returning that night. If there is any interest please let me know so we can figure out a meeting place.

    Thanks Bill

It'll be a zoo! Have fun. Keep it legal, I'm sure there will be a lot of eyes watching.

Yeah I figured it will be crowded. However I can't think of a better place to be stuck in traffic. Keane my criminal days are well behind me, but thanks for the heads up. Sorry you guys can't join. πŸ™ πŸ™

πŸ˜‚ That wasn't supposed to be as bad as it sounded. πŸ˜‚ Just meant any tire off the trail or peeing behind a tree would be an excuse for somebody to complain. πŸ˜‚

We expect reports and pictures from the guys going this weekend. I've always wondered just how crazy it gets out there on Memorial Day weekend.

Looks like a full house. How long did it take to go to the LS and out? Lots of traffic?

I DIDNT CHECK THE TIME WHEN I LEFT, BUT IM GUESSING 3 HOURS. I WAS SURPRIZED AT THE # OF RIGS I MEET ON THE WAY OUT. IT WAS PROBABLY AROUND 330 WHEN WE LEFT. I THOUGHT THAT PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALREADY GONE THROUGH. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE LOON LAKE ENTRANCE NEXT TIME, BUT NOT BY MYSELF! I WASPLANNING ON LEAVING IN THAT DIRECTION, BUT I HAD TO CHOOSE TO FOLLOW A FRIENDLY PACK OFF BRONCO'S THROUGH WENTWORTH, OR A REAL ASS IN A WILLY'S TO LOON, AND SINCE I NEW I COULD MAKE IT TO WENTWORTH IT WAS AN EASY CHOICE.

What a great day. We made it to little sluce. The traffic on the way in was crazy. It took just over 5 hous to get the little sluce. The traffic started at the entrance to the spillway where 2 wd pickups were trying to pull buggy laiden trailers up the road (a Jeep had to strap this guy out). Just past gate keeper a guy peeled his diffcover and caused a 20+ rig backup, for over 45 min. On the way in we passed approx. 50 rigs. The trail was great. Not too much mud and not too much dust. There were a ton of people camping at little Sluce. The trip out took about 2 hours. We left LS at 5 pm I pulled into Folsom at 10 pm. The only damage was a smashed exhaust tip. Even Zach loved the ride. I will post some pics when I get off work.

Having difficulty uploading pics. The Scout obviously isn't the sheriff's rig. Lets try this again.

Cool pics. I was laughing at the "first" Sheriff's rig. I was thinking the budget really hit them hard. Then I saw the real Sheriff's rig and I though, that the budget didn't hit them hard enough πŸ˜‚

Nah, I was good. I have Posse stickers on my rig and didn't want to set a bad impression. 😎

It was a great time though.

I hit no traffic on the way in Friday and only a few rigs at Gate Keeper on the way out Sunday afternoon. Hanging out at the Box during the weekend was a different story though. It was INSAIN! 😲
