It is Friday and we are so ready. Jeff I picked up a spare hub today. I'm amassing a nice collection of " if it breaks" I'm ready parts.

We are back. We met at 8a and were on the trail and aired down by 10a. We went in Wentworth Springs and traveled a total of 9 miles before we encountered some ledges that under dry conditions would have been fun, but were covered in ice. By this time it was 1:30 and we were contemplating continuing and possibly encountering more ice on something more trecherous like Cadillac Hill. We were also concerned with having to turn back later in the day and then having to winch up the ice covered ledges. (going down seemed rough, back up would take a while) So we turned around and headed back out the way we came. We were aired up and off the trail by 5p. (home for dinner at 6:30) Nothing "broke", I did encounter an issue whereby my PSC power steering ram somehow got turned and was interfering with my steering a little bit. We stopped and corrected it on the trail (20 min) only to find that when we were airing up it had happened again. I will need to go back in and see what we can do to get the Ram out of the way of the tie rod and steering rod. Other than that everything worked well and we made good time. With there only being the two of us, we didn't get much video or pictures. Hopefully Scott got more than I did. I have one video (below) and a hand full of pictures. All in all a great day and what a way to start the christmas holiday. Merry Christmas to us!!

Looks like a good time even though you didn't get a far as you'd hoped.

Did you make it to buck before you turned around? Was it frozen?

Sounds like a lot of fun. Glad somebody got to finish the year with some wheeling.

    I used to wheel a lot. . .

We didn't make it to Buck lake. Had a good view of it from the top of the trail but the decent was literally an ice rink and we made the decision to turn around due to the possibility that Cadillac hill would be the same conditions. I did end up taking a couple of photos and tried to video some footage but the new go-pro was not recording when we ran anything worthy of posting. Looks like Hollister and the Hammers will be the only places to wheel for a while unless we get a warm spell and all the ice melts.... 😁

Use the application PREVIEW to EDIT. One of the options under edit it to change photo size. 🍺
