October 11 - October 12
Run location and date: Slick Rock Saturday October 11th and Deer Valley Sunday October 12th.

Format: This will be a one night trip, or you can run either of the two trails and make a day trip out of it.

Slick Rock Saturday October 11th If you are heading up on Saturday, meet at the McDonalds in Angles Camp (33 N Main St, Angels Camp) at 8:00 a.m. and plan to leave by 8:30 a.m. Top off gas in Arnold. We will run Slick Rock from south to north and then head to Hermit Valley Campground and camp their Saturday night.

Deer Valley Sunday October 12th we will plan to start the run at 9:00 a.m. If you plan to run Deer Valley only, then please be at Hermit Valley Campground no later than 9 a.m. or come up Saturday and camp with our group the night before. Deer Valley trailhead is accessed through and begins at Hermit Valley campground. Here is a link for Hermit Valley Campground on Hwy 4: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recare…..ecid=14847

This run is open to members and non-members provided they meet the usual club minimum standards and ideally 35″ or greater tires and one locker. If you aren’t sure, please ask. If you are running both trails, please be sure you have sufficient fuel. You may need to bring extra fuel depending on your rig. I believe there is gas at Kirkwood but it’s probably best to bring it.

Well crap! Family conflicts again! We won’t be able to make this run this year. Guess it’s a good thing time goes by so fast and we will be planning for the run next year before we know it.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sorry to hear that you won’t be able to make this trip. Like you said, there is always next year.

I'm planning on attending this run. I will most likely cruise down on Friday and potentially camp on Slick Rock this year. If anyone is interested in joining, let me know.

Um...what?

I will figure out my calendar after Sierra Trek but I am likely in for this run. I would also camp Friday night with you Greg!

I'm debating what I want to do. Part of me wants to just camp at the first bridge on the trail by the creek. Another part of me wants to wheel in to the lunch spot by the creek crossing and camp there and have a slow morning waiting for the group or go and play and meet the group on the trail. I'm open if one sounds fun to you. I have Friday off so I can go whenever.

Um...what?

I'm not sure if I can make this run but if I can I love the idea of camping at the creek crossing. Every time we have lunch there I ask myself why I haven't camped there!

So I am now a maybe for this run ...

The TL;DR is the Rubicon, 2025, and me are just not getting along ... first picture is the broken main leaf... second is the first attempted fix... and the third is what actually got Nate and I off the trail (#ducttapefixeseverything). So needless to say, I'm shopping for new leaf springs, then have to receive them and install them in order to go. Will likely be close to game-time call if I make it.

Bummer on the breakage, and subsequent repairs - upgrades.

You do not need a vehicle for this run!  Just ride with others, and bring your equipment/gloves/etc.

Dang bro I just sold my front springs after doing the 3 link on my rig, I could have had them to you easily

Looks like rain Saturday and snow at camp overnight & on the trail Sunday. I am debating, I’m not really set up for snow camping.
