I would like to throw out some trail dates for discussion. Basically the first weekend of the month for Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov but that can be changed pending commitments. It would be nice to be consistent with the weekend choice for planning purposes. Perhaps the 3rd weekend of the month would be a second choice. I know it will be impossible to satisfy all the conflicts and these dates are not meant to replace the current post and go system.
Aug 6th Triple Trail
Sept 3rd Rubicon (Club Campout is the 10th)
Oct 1st Barrett
Nov 5th Turkey Shoot Contest
Dec 3rd is the Christmas Party
I did the Rubicon on Sept 20th, 2008 and it was a very enjoyable. Cool nights kept the mosquitoes away, only negative was a fire restriction.
Comments welcome

The Club Christmas party is based on that Lake Natomas Toy Run. It sounds like the 3rd is that event, so your date is probably set and Larry could add that one formally.
Oct 1 for Barett is risky depending on Weather. You could put it down for now, but I believe Sept offers safer dates.

From a club prospect point of view I like the set weekend idea for club runs. This would make easier to plan for. I vote for first weekend of the month.

Thanks Josh for the input, this year is crazy, hopefully next year we will have a set weekend each month.
Here's some more dates for discussion, basically pulled everything a week sooner for Barrett, spaced runs every four weeks and added the Strawberry runs. Hopefully the snow will melt and Strawberry is passable, Could have mosquitoes on the Rubicon and we always race the rain to close Barrett. Perhaps we should swap Rubicon and Barrett, but then its mosquitoes at Barrett. I've heard of another club that had there Turkey Shoot somewhere on Ice House Rd.
June 25th Strawberry
July 30th Triple Trail
Aug 27th Rubicon
Sept 10 Club Campout
Sept 24th Barrett
Oct 22nd Strawberry
Nov 5th Turkey Shoot Contest
Dec 3rd Christmas Party
Any Comments?

Richard, looks like you have put a lot of thought and time into this. Thanks. Everything looks great to me, with one exception. The first Strawberry run. Because a lot of people put in for time off, so they can help. Like we discussed at the meeting, I think we should wait to reschedule the maintenance run, after someone has been up there and can for sure get to, and up the trail. But I like the rest of the dates. We can start adding these dates to the calender, unless someone has any objections.
Again, nice job Richard.
