Trail plan update. I'm leaning towards a Signal Peak trail run. This is a local run I have not done. Some club members did it earlier this year. It is located off Hwy 80 at Cisco Grove.

If you guys plan on going in at Cisco, the gate is locked. If you plan on going in at the Indian springs staging area, you won't make it more than a half mile up toward signal.

do we know wat this trail is rated
Hello, trail is rated a four just above easy as pie according to the link above. Disclaimer - I have never been on this trail. Not sure what surprises it holds!
We did this trail this summer and it is not a hard core trail but a fun run. The hardest part as I recall was a section in the middle with a steel pipe that was slippery. Nice views from the top.

They did not make it on signal peak. They ended way off trail due to ice and ended up running fordyce. Drive line hill is on the way in from eagle lakes exit on the main trail.

Awesome run. Everyone is off the trail safely.
We made it 98% of the way to Signal Peak. Last turn to the small parking lot was drifted over. Three to four feet of snow on one side made four a nice off camber situation. Pucker factor 90%.
We had three rigs. Josh JK. Jack JKU. Ray and his nephew Jake in a TJ. We took turns breaking trail. Winched a little. Had a good variety of trail conditions. Also met up with a group of five rigs from Placerville. One rig was a green monster that helped to break the last 300' of trail. Posse did most of the work. Great day. Great People. Awesome Jeep time!

I attached a few photos I took. I had a great time with Josh and Ray as well. I was surprised at the amount of snow we saw below 6000' but we certainly were blazing trails. For those of you who have done Signal Peak there is a tree down that routes you over some rocks that add to the fun (see photo of Josh's JK off camber).
