Where are we camping?
What trails, on what days?
What will be the poker prizes?

Are you going to make it this year????

Here are my thoughts.

We can meet Friday morning. Run Deer Valley over to the Lake Alpine area. Last year we found a nice spot, but we got kind of lucky. We set up a base camp there and stayed two nights. Saturday we ran Slickrock and Corral Hollow. None of us liked Corral Hollow which leaves us in need of a third trail. Maybe Strawberry on Friday? Isn't there a Blue Lakes trail? There a lookout we can catch up to after Slickrock. I figure we'll run Slickrock both ways, but that's hard to count as a third trail.

Poker run prizes are a secret. 8)

Ooohhh...I hate secrets 👿

I'm hoping to go. It's between me running Triple Trail or taking the boys to a cub scout campout.

Is there fishing at the camp site? Like a stream?

How about Deer Valley on Friday, Slickrock (inandout) on Saturday, and Deer Valley backwards and Strawberry backwards on Sunday?

That would put us back on Hwy 50 for the trip home.

Before we spend the money on the stuff for the poker run part, how many folks are planning to go?

I don't know if I'll have a kitchen pass or not. If Teddi doesn't come up with other plans for me I'm hoping to go. I'd probably have to catch up with you guys Friday night or Saturday morning though.

If Brad doesn't go and Fred only runs half the trails your poker run odds are good. 8)

It depends on what trail you guys are running on what day. I have to work on Friday, so I will only be around on Saturday and Sunday. Are you guys trying to wrap everything up by Sat night? Whats the plan?

Attendees:

Larry
John
Keane - 50/50
Fred - 50/50
Howdy - 50/50

We will have two winning hands. Since it looks like there might be a possibility of more people on Saturday, we will have the poker run on Saturday.

High hand: usual win
Low ball: no straights, no flushes, Ace is low. The best hand is Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Running slick rock first. You will receive a card at the beginning and end of the trail.
Other trial (not yet determined): Receive a card at the beginning and end of the trail.
The final card with be given back at camp.
In case of a tie. The two or three tied hands will draw a card: High hand tie, high card drawn, low hand tie, low card drawn.

Sounds like you've done this before Larry. Good plan.
The odds are looking good for Larry and Me...one of us with the high hand and one of us with the low hand mr-green

is the lake alpine campsite accesible by car or is it stricly 4x4 territory?

You can get there by car. You have several choices in getting there. You thinking about driveing up?
