Thanks everyone for making the meeting. We had David, Don, Josh, Carl, Mark and myself were in attendance.
There were also several NorCal FJ in attendance.
In short, the USFS is looking for pairs of vehicles to patrol the Strawberry trail. They will provide vests and volunteer magnets. We Need to check in with attendance from our club and people we saw on the trail.
We will need to get some t shirts in the high visibility green color.
They want to start the effort on 4th of July. Weekend.
I think we could create a sign up sheet for the weekends.
Is anyone interested?

I'll do my part and take a stab at the synopsis and rely on Brad and other to fill in misses.
This is effectively called Trail Patrol. ENF will be making a PR communication in the near future. The best analogy is what we do for MET in Snow Patrol. The role is purely presence on the designated trails identified as CLOSED by the lawsuit. The role is to note anyone on such trails and offer information and education about the trail status (USFS provided handouts). A set number of vehicles is authorized per trail, minimum 2 rigs using buddy system. The primary trails here are Strawberry 4wd trail and Long Canyon. Each club provides notification to ENF on whom is scheduled for Trail Patrol ahead of time. Other trails are also available to Patrol.
There are other details still being worked out. Lots of great ideas were brought forth. The best one are bright color vests, in my opinion, since the trails also provide recreation for gun users.
