I need to get my Jeep finished tomorrow. I will be finishing up the LED lights, bleeding the brakes, and bolting things back on. If Rob or Justin are around tomorrow, I could use a wee bit of help. Shouldn't take too long.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

This is the only poster I have in my garage...although I can see why you'd mistake it for Obama lol

The Jeep LIVES 😈
Thanks to Rob for his help. Who'd have thought that a simple LED install would take all danged day. Every time we'd wire them up, something wouldn't work. We'd pop fuses, then the blinkers wouldn't work, then the brake lights wouldn't work. It turned out to be a bad blinker relay in the steering column. But, now they are in and they work GREAT!. Now I have "flower power" in the front and the back mr-green

The wiring on the driver's side has three wires while the passenger side has four. I know what all the wires are except the fourth (green) wire :dunno:

I bet it's the NOS solenoid wire. That would explain why your NOS has never worked.

My 2000 FSM shows a 4th wire going to the right rear tail light and says it's not used. It lists the color as DG/RD. I suspect that's a dark green wire with a red stripe. From the diagram it looks like it splits off from the left brake/turn signal wire.

That's the one. It's a hot wire that's not used?
Maybe it's there for the tow package lol

I'd bet its there to make trailer wiring easier. I wish I had looked at that when I did my trailer plug wiring. I ran wires to both the left and right sides. I could have just taken all the wires to the right hand side.

Sounds like you might have an STS sensor issue.

STS= Small Tire Syndrome

Since they reduce your power draw, you'll notice the increased power when the lights are on and your alternator isn't working as hard. Unfortunately, that's only when your brakes are on. 🙁 If you were to accelerate while braking, I'm sure you'd feel it!
