Watch marketplace. They go quick if they are a good deal and the guys selling these beat the hell out of them especially if they are the race spec. Keep in mind that new they can be had for $400 each new for the non-race spec (or less in 2.0) VS. the rebuild kits are about $100 each plus $200 labor each to be rebuilt by a shop that will warranty their work. Really need to be around $100 each to be worth the extra effort of going used.

Ya been watching marketplace for a while now just thought I ask here too. Looking for 2.5 can't find any under $550

Have you heard anything good about them? I've read only a couple of reviews on pirate4x4 and they didn't sound very good

Nope but pirate4x4 hasn't been current in 5 years so if a company was bad mouthed on there over 5yrs ago and is still in business then you are probably safe as they must have improved to stay in businesses. I would look at facebook, reddit, and irate4x4 (the pirate replacement) reviews and focus on ones from the last couple years to get a better idea.
