I'm not very worried. My bills are stable and affordable. My job, and my wife's, are very stable. The biggest concern for us will be gas and food prices. I think we can ride it out, and I can always learn to speak Japanese if I have to.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I'm glad it was dumped. Without that happening, there is now way I could lose 15% of my total 401K portfolio in one day!

I am also thankful for dollar cost averaging (investment term). All we need is for the market to actually go up, so we benefit.

Must be another "buying opportunity".

I heard a guy on the news this evening who said he just sold his WaMu stock for 77 cents per share today. And he originally paid $25/share.

Did you notice how the media is quick to blame the Republicans for the bill not passing? Not much being said about the 90 Democrats that didn't vote for it either 🙄

Are you kidding? The finger pointing is about as evenly divided as it gets. Right out of the gate, the Republicans pointed the finger at Pelosi because she said mean things before the vote and hurt their feelings. 😥 They're all idiots.

awe come on. im going to go back to work if you guys stop playing!

I'm thinking the 60" 4wd version is going to be the best route though, apparently it's got gear sets up into the high 5.xx's and has strength characteristics similar to a stock D60 (non 35-spline count version).

It's all just politics to squeeze as much press out of it as possible before the elections.

Remember the old saying: "There's no such thing as bad press".

They're giving lessons in political science as we speak.

Just to point out the bias in news and media. Did you know there has not been a negative campaign against a V.P. candidate since Agnew? Just things that make you go hmmmm...

Palin makes it easy (admitted, Biden isn't much better)!! I'm sorry I had high hopes for her, but if she can't answer softball questions from Katie Couric about things she has said, I don't need her to represent me. She looked like an idiot and there's only one person to balme for that.

But Biden is such a used car salesman. he oozes "snake". The fact that the media is zeroing in on Palin so hard leads me to believe they're afraid of her.

Nahhh...the media is lazy. Making Palin look like she doesn't know what she is doing is like shooting fish in a barrel. She does most of the work herself. Biden says things that make himself look dumb. She says things that make herself look dumb, then she gets flustered and makes excuses. It's better TV. 😀

Oddly enough, I think the VP actually make a difference this time around. I'm not convinced either one of them will live through their term.

The liberal media and their VP smear campaign! Duh! 🙄
