Are they talking about the old style or the new Kevlar style? They don't know the difference.
Justin SubscriberJustin started this SubscriberTirerack.com shows them in stock at $199.99 a piece! Dang, maybe I should switch to 35's. I could save a TON of money.

Goodyear called back and they found one in the Bay area. Should be here tomorrow. We'll see.....
and yes they are referring to the new Kevlar style. - RobD SubscriberRobD Subscriber
Switch to 40s. Not that many people run them and $500 each. They always have them in stock 😀

I can kind of see why they didn't do it right. You didn't take them all the necessary parts. Generally speaking, tire guys seat the beads by inflating the tire. Without the beadlock ring there was no way to do what you wanted. No, I can blame them all I want since I took the managerb out there and gave him specific instructions to write on the work order. The tech did not follow the orders and nobody in there even knew what a beadlock was. Finally one of the guys said "Oh, kind of like a racing wheel."
So, yes I can call them IDIOTS!I used to wheel a lot. . .- Guest former userGuest former user

So, yes I can call them IDIOTS!sometimes i wonder about these so called tire experts. even the managers seem clueless at times. next time bring it to my house and i will mess it up for you, charge you an arm and a leg and tell you to go somewhere else when ur not happy with it. sorry no refunds sir. 😏 😏 😏 😏 😏

I've done it with beadlocks twice with my jeep and a hi-lift jack. It took about 30 minutes to get the tire off, but back on was easy.Kathleen and Brad

Great trip!
Carnage report:
Steering stabilizer. I got some DW at 40mph on the way home.
My front OX cable got too close to the manifold and melted. Reason it would not engage. I adjusted the rear at camp and it work fine the rest of the way.
Battery died while airing up. Thanks Justin for the jump. Yellow top is going in.
Thanks to all you guys for the spotting help and of course letting me know my tires were mounted backwards 😳 . Took it in and told them they were F :censor: ing retarded.
Cheers to a great group 🍺

Sounds like you bought them at the Good Year here. 😂 😏 😏
JohnDF Member Joined: July 2003JohnDF Member Joined: July 2003Everyone did a good job driving and maintaining a good attitude. I love wheeling and the frequent delays are just part of the fun. Running the Rubicon backwards offers more challenges as you guys found out. I had a great time and enjoyed helping out. I think Rob goes above and beyond in the "helping out" department, he is always right in the thick of things, throwing rocks, spotting, and hooking up straps. But I think we all got a chance to throw some rocks and pull some wich lines 😂

Sue and I did a "partial" in reverse on sunday nite and monday. She would agree with the "challenge". Some one will have to ask her what she can get higher: Horseshoes or front tires? She is now trying to fit her "rainfly" to her seat
