Justin, I am planning on running it from Tahoe to Loon on Monday and maybe stay until Tuesday if you want to go from the Tahoe side..But to be honest, I really doubt you will be able to run the entire trail until late June. Here is a photo taken at at the beginning of Wentworth springs road this past weekend..There is still 8 to 10 feet and more at the higher elevations..You guys might want to have a back up plan

That is what I am hoping for. It is nice to have the snow, but it sure puts a downer on the start of the 4wheeling season.

If the temps stay high, there may be a chance.

Rob, do you have any details on your run? I may be interested in a fun alternative to the 2-day run if that's ok.

My plan was to leave Auburn around 8 or so. Have breakfast in Truckee or Tahoe City, then head onto the trail and wheel to Buck Island or futher depending on what others might want to do. Tuesday head out to Loon lake. I'm not opposed to doing it in one day if others don't want to camp. I am open to suggestions too. I just enjoy the Rubicon From Tahoe to Loon over the traditional way

If I go, it is only going to be from Tahoe side. It is the only real challenging way on the Rubicon, plus it takes less time from my house to Tahoe and to the trail than it takes me to drive to Loon lake.

I'm thinking Sunday to Buck and Monday out...maybe even backwards

1.)Drive in from Tahoe to Buck on Sunday.
2.)Camp at Buck Sunday night.
3.)Night wheeling up Old Sluice and back down to Buck.
4.)Leaving Monday, either back out Tahoe or through Loon, depending on what the group is doing.
Looks like I can make that run. 8) (unless there is some catastrophic failure at work)

Catastrophic Poo Failure...I'd rather be on the Rubicon
Like I said, it's going to be hard for me to take time off work this summer thanks to all the late rain we got this spring. It's going to take a couple of months to catch up.
I should be good to go for the Roundup though.
