My wife and I were on MET on Tuesday doing Christmas Tree hunting also.  The Forest Service told us the Ice was really bad up by North South Rd.  We ventured to the Intersection of MET and North South Rd and they were right.  We couldn't even make it up to turn right on NS Road.  So be carefully out there folks.  We didn't see any snow, just ice.

Um...what?

Thank God it wasn't any worse, where people could have been seriously hurt...try to imagine what choices you would have then.

Exactly!!

Thanks Kris for the detailed write-up, I learn something new (several things) every time you do those. . .

I posted some pictures in the photo gallery. Look at how high up the Jeep struck the tree.

Thank you for posting the pictures Jeff. I will add a few to the gallery that I have.  I attempted to borrow a gopro to put on time lapse but the battery was dead.

And no, only one of the trees was still good (we got multiple for other people in the Jeep) and i forgot to toss it on until I was already down the hill and had made 10+ trips.  I will go and spend another $10 and get another tree.

I am glad that everyone was ok. I am also feeling better about taking the time to put the roll cage on my truck.

Glad everyone is okay. Sorry I couldn't make it out to help with the recovery.
