hello all:
Has anyone here had any dealings with Dmitry of "Stellar Built" fabrication? I basically found him on Craigslist and am thinking of hiring him to built a rear bumper/tire carrier for my 1989 K5. Went to his house today, talked to him. Seemed to be a nice guy. He has a 92-ish LandCruiser with a nice rear bumper/tire carrier (see photo). The one he would build for me would be similar to that one (see pic):

Just wondering if anyone here is familiar with his work. The Land Cruiser tire carrier in the pic was very well-built. Has tabs for a hi-lift jack and 2 latches to hold it shut. Thanks for any input.
His site is https://www.facebook.com/stellarbuilt

Go for it. Be our guinea pig. That quote is on par or lower than the only 2 bolt on options I see online for the K5. Always a risk going with a craigslist find but given the other options, I would rather spend the money locally.
I would shake and wiggle the Land Cruiser tire carrier in person to make sure his latch design doesn't rattle. Nothing worse than squeaky metal on long drives.

I needed some work done so I went to the well known WFO and was told that what I needed was something they didn't/couldn't do.
So I started looking around and found Rock hound off road in Auburn that said they can tackle anything I can come up with and they were really inexpensive. Not to mention a great plus for me he is a great guy and a fellow Christian so I'm more then happy to support him if I need work. Great welds and fast turn around time. He's been featured in off road mags you can find him on the inter-web and that thing called Facebook

Nice to know. I called WFO about welding all the mounting hardware / brackets on a D44 front for a Cherokee. Said he was at least 3 month out, and his fab guys would rather not do it. I found all the bare brackets online (Rusty's). Now have a friend doing all the setup and welding of the bracket / mounts. He has been working on it for over a month now... Gave him a stock D30 to measure and make sure it all lines up the same.
