So you want to go in the Tahoe end and run the trail backwards? If so, I'd rather meet you here in the Sac area somewhere and caravan. That way we wouldn't be split up somewhere looking for each other before heading in to help out. Just one less thing to worry about.

What are you planning for food for the evening? I was thinking about picking up a couple sandwiches at Subway or the grocery store.

Any idea what the weather might be? I've just got the safari top on right now with no doors. I might throw the softtop, windows and doors back on.

Did Justin have the hamm radio or was it someone passing by? If you talk with him find out what frequency he's on and I'll bring my radio.

I'm going to head up there early. My wife can be home at 3:00 so I'll head up there then. I have to work early and I don't want to be out all night. I'm going to go get the spindles and then come home and pack the Jeep. I'll plan on leaving my house at 3:00 if anybody can join me.

I couldn't be to anywhere to meet you guys until later. Unless you need/want company I'll wait it out. Call me if you need anything picked up or run to the trail head.

If you're leaving early there's no way I'll catch up to you. We'd both end up running the trail by ourselves.

I can leave work as early as 3:00 and be ready to leave my house by 4:00, but that's the earliest I can go.

If you're leaving before then, I'll stay home and wait for an update later on.

I can't leave work until 5:00 and it would be around 6:00 by the time I was ready to go. There's no sense waiting around. I'll go home and install the PS pump and wait for further instructions. I'll PM you my phone number.

Thanks Larry. It'll be nice to have company.

I'm leaving my house a little before 3:00. I don't want to stay out that late if i can help it. If we didn't leave until 5:00, we wouldn't get to them until dark. If anybody else can make it, call my cell...916-759-2282

Why drag the trailer all the way up there? AAA plus it! I know Larry and I both have it. Rob too?

Plus, with a spindle and axle, he may be able to drive it home.

Just got off the phone with Larry. Sounds like that's the plan, but he's taking his trailer to John's house just in case. I can pick it up tonight if need be.

Fred, if you can be at the staging area by 5:00, then we can wait there for you. Can you get there in an hour?

It takes longer than an hour to get to the Tahoe side staging area from Folsom.

Mapquest says it's two hours from Folsom to Homewood.

Don't break anything. We don't want to have to rescue the rescue party. Take my number with you in case you need it though. Check the sticky at the top of the members forum for the numbers.

Sure you don't want to run in from the Loon Lake side? You could avoid Cadillac Hill at night. And the delay for you to get there may allow me to catch up with you.

I'd have to drive 3/4 of the trail fromthe Loon side. I'm hoping to run into our group at the Springs. Larry just called. He's almost here. We are taking off. I'll be sure to post up when we get home.

In your original post you said "old sluice". According to the map I've got that's between Little Sluice and Buck Island Lake so about in the middle of the trail. It sounds like you're thinking they're at Big Sluice at the top of the Hill above Rubicon Springs.
