More record prices last week - almost $140 a barrel. I'm really rooting against Rob, but he's not looking as crazy anymore. ๐Ÿ˜€

no. i actually didnt see any gum pushers at the gas stations or border. when we were waiting in line to get back in the states there were plenty of people selling "monster" and iced coffee's though. seriously. how times have changed.

Venezuela will not raise gas prices

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) รขโ‚ฌโ€ President Hugo Chavez says Venezuela has no plans to raise state-subsidized gasoline prices anytime soon.

Gasoline is cheaper in Venezuela than almost anywhere in the world, selling for as little as 12 cents a gallon (3 cents a liter).

Chavez on Friday pledged to maintain fuel subsidies as a matter of "sovereignty" for the oil-producing nation.

Gasoline prices haven't changed there for years, and many Venezuelans consider cheap gas a birthright. Hours-long traffic jams clog cities including Caracas, where fuel-guzzling sport-utility vehicles are common.

Have gas prices started to level off where you all are?

They seem have droppped a little here in Rocklin. Is this a sign that we have reached the peak for a while?

The price per barrel dropped something like $8 yesterday. The lastest reports I've heard make it sound like it will continue to rise until late in the year.

It's pretty sad. The ATM at the pump cuts you off at $50. That's only 11 gallons ๐Ÿ™
