OfflineThere have been random posts in threads over the last number of months (years?) about RC trucks, crawlers, etc. How about we have a "show us what you got" thread so us RC newbies can see what the more "experienced" are driving?
That way, we can make sure and get something close to the same scale and capabilities when/if we take the plunge.
Make sure and add things like durability, availability or replacement/upgrade parts and important things like that. Oh, and $$$ when it comes to cost of operation.
Let the games begin!!

OfflineI have RC's from $99 to $500, and in both 1/18 and 1/10 scale. I also have one's I've built and ones that are ready to run (RTR). The jeep I'm working on currently was RTR, but they make a builder kit that offers upgraded parts. On my rig, I've changed the wheels and tires, and have a new rear axle to put under it + new control arms and steering linkeage, plus LED rock lights to add. I also have a 1/10 comp buggy similar to the one I just sold to scoped. The one he picked up was RTR, but required a transmitter and battery charger. It came with a 5000 battery Iincluded. In general a 5000 LiPo battery will run for 1 hr on a 1/10 scale crawler rig that doesn't have a ton of motor or transmission upgrades. My mini crawlers will run for an hour on their little batteries as well.

John, I would expect nothing less.
And didn't it come with it's own color co-ordinated tool box?

OfflineLooks like I'll need to do my homework, then. The range you posted looks good, too.

I just had to go Nitro. There is just something about the screaming of the engine and smell of burnt nitro......
Screaming, nitro burning buggies in the forests and trails of NorCal ... mmm, not so much.
In town and on a track ... I could see that.
