You're on top of it. I'm hoping not to be ringing in the new year loading the 4runner. 😀

4Runner is finally packed. Just after the start of the new year on the east coast. 😀 I also got my CB working. It's literally taped together, but I can send and receive!

Just so everyone knows in case we have trouble. Our route will look something like this:

49 to N. Bloomfield
N. Bloomfield to Graniteville via Malakoff Diggins
Graniteville to Plumbago to Alleghany
If we have time/interest we'll head up Henness Pass otherwise we'll just head down Ridge through Camptonville and back to 49.

Thanks to everybody for making the trip up the hill! Didn't get where we wanted to, but still a good time. More of a write up later. I may have the writeup done before John gets home if he really sticks with the 40 mph. 😯

Thanks Keane and John for leading us in and out safely. Since only half of us needed a strap on this trip should this one be called " half-strap " ? Yea, she reminded me she was not one of them. Had a great time thanks again.

Fun run! Snow falling most of the day and heavy at times. I sank in the snow just in time to miss the snowball in the head. mr-green

Where were we again? I'm going to post picture and want to name the album based on the location.

We were at Malakoff Diggins. It was so cool to be there with the place empty and all the snow on the ground. It really gave you sense of the solitude and it was much more pleasant than visiting during the dry hot summer. I would love to run my kids up there after I get my bearings replaced. Maybe Keane will lead me in again and we can make it a short family run 8)

Sounds good to me. Let me know when. There's also a paved way in if that works better for the family. mr-green We've gone in on Father's Day before and it was great! There's a lot of hiking to do and it's nice when the park is a bit more open so you can go into the buildings.

When's the best time to go? Not too cold and not too hot?
I was thinking that it was perfect yesterday too when there was snow on the ground so the kids could play a bit.
We could do a quick morning run out there and finish with lunch in Grass Valley. That would be awesome!
If you think I could get my truck or Subi in there in the next couple of weeks, that would be even better!!!

Anybody else up for a quick family run?

We might be up for it. Especially on a snowy day. It was really quiet when the snow was falling. Let us know when. 😀
