This half run is taking all day...I wonder if they're stuck somewhere?

I used to wheel a lot. . .

It was definitely a full snow run! Pics and details later. I've got to eat. As usual though I put together a snow run that made it ALMOST where we needed to go before we couldn't make it any further so we had to turn around and come back out the long way. lol

Glad it went good and everybody had fun. I bought hubs today, so the fix has started.

Looks like you had a great trip. And home by dark? ha ha! Great pics!
Can you send some snow up here to Montana?
Miss my jeep - Joe's been painting the roll cage while I'm gone.
Mom's PT Cruiser aka: snow plow just isn't working for me... 🙁

Oh ya...the road along the lake looked a little spooky 😯

Looks like a fun trip. Kind of looked like the antique road show with the 4runner, YJ's and CJ 8)

Does that mean my YJ is now increasing in value?! 😀

We were talking about how it is one of the few runs we've been on where everyone was on leaf springs. 😀

On the way home south of Grass Valley I started to hear a clicking that eventually got a bit louder. Wasn't the normal stuff and it seemed to be related to the drivetrain because the faster I went the faster the clicking went. So I stopped in Auburn and checked things out. Apparently I sheared off a lug stud from the front left wheel and the other four were loose. Yikes! Also all five hub bolts were loose. I am assuming that the hub came loose from the vibration from the wheel. I bet if I would have stopped earlier when I heard the first clicking I wouldn't have sheared off the stud but maybe not. So I tightened up everything (the four left on the wheel) and made it home no problem. But I have some work to do now for sure. Not to mention the CB antenna that snapped off.

Good times for sure guys. Thanks for letting me tag along and I hope to hit the trails with you dudes soon again!!

More air means more flotation doesn't it?

Best I can figure it was a locker thing. I think I was as far left as Kevin was, I just couldn't stay there. I'd get halfway up the hill and find myself going sideways. Sounds like an excuse to get 60s with ARBs right? 😀

he had it all locked up so that cant be it. kevin and i have both have 33's, lifts, locked, spring under
and i was the worst at keeping forard momentem. his tires worked great. when you aired down you did a lot better. with your ground clearance the only limiting factor was traction. i would have done better if i went lower than 13psi, but i was already dragging my diffs . i have a friend that has a truck set up just like yours, i forgot what tires he had but he could go anywhere. he had a pretty soft side wall

its like when you go deep sea fishing, you feel the boat rocking even when you get home. following you guys thru the thick snow drifts was like driving on 2 2x12 planks. if i veered one way or another i feel off the planks and sunk in the snow. it was a little nerve racking at the end
