Sheesh!
Would a new soldering gun make the run any easier? 😀
Try no top, no doors, and no heater...then we'll talk
You can keep the soldering gun...I need a real welder and a fender/body shop to get my doors on again

I contacted the trail master with FOTR, because I think Justin had a good point. This is just food for thought. I still would like to go, but at what cost to the trial. I may be just over thinking it also. But here is the conversation:
my email:
Hi Jacquelyne,
We are supposed to be having a trip on the Con, June 18th-20th. With all the snow up there, and with it going to start melting. Some of us are wondering if it is such a good idea to be going up there. We are very trail conscious and true believers in Tread Lightly. So I guess my question is, do you think going up in a week and half is going to do trail damage or is it looking okay up there.
Thank you so much for your time,

Her response:
Hi Larry!!
Honestly if you Tread Lightly you will always be fine. However, I don't think there will be enough melt in that short of time to even make it possible to run - or should I say fun to run. It will still be difficult and the melt holes can be dangerous! They are only going to get more trecherous in the next couple of weeks.
Even the big Jamborees postponed their big runs.
As always you have a choice, maybe postponing a few weeks would make it a good thing for all?
Thanks for writing and asking the question - we appreciate your concern and your diligence. 🙂

Not really. There's plenty of dirt/mud once you clear the bowl and a lot of attention to the area.
Yes. There are dirt areas between the bowl and Spyder lake I wonder how long snow will last in old sleuce. Isn't that shade pretty much all day?

You guys should just count me out for the Roundup, if it happens next weekend. Even if they get a lot of melt up there, it still sounds like it's going to be a long night of wheeling, shoveling, winching, wrenching and cold. Then there is sleeping in a tent that just doesn't sound pleasant with snow on the ground. I'll wait for warmer weather and exposed rocks
Yes, I'm getting soft in my old age and just want to do what is enjoyable. I've had enough snow adventures.
