This is a fun event for a great charity.
'We are meeting at McDonalds near Hazel Ave and Hwy 50. Meeting time is 830. We will caravan across the street to the Folsom Aquatic Center just before 9 and park along the far right of the center.
'Be sure to sign up under our club!
please plan to bring 1 new unwrapped toy per vehicle, and some bucks for the raffle too!
it usually lasts from 9-130 or so.

The toy run is typically an off road vehicle event. They have a 4wd parade you are welcome to participate in. We will be in our jeep. If you show up in a car, please don't run your club stickers!
So I can go on the toy run in our van? Don't care about a parade kids like watching parades from the sideline anyways so they can see everything.
We always look for chances to show our kids the joy in helping others in need.
Kinda funny side note everytime there is a big fire my kids always ask if we get to bring food, water and clothing to the people who lost everything. We did that couple years back hauled 2 trucks out to Angeles Camp after the fire

Hi, as always I am bringing the idiot-level questions (and I had to miss the last meeting, where this all was probably explained), but:
After we all caravan across the street to the Folsom Aquatic Center (with 1 new unwrapped toy per vehicle), what happens then? Details about the actual event? Thanks!

There will be rigs to checkout, little crafts for the kiddos, hot chocolate and some food for purchase, raffle and hangout time. Other than that, people will bring remote control cars to play with as well as some might join in the parade. (The Parade is odd so most avoid it)
Um...what?

YES! I was suckered into leading the parade last year by the Hi-Landers. I don't know how many we started with but the parade isn't traffic controlled so we had to deal with lights. so some people made the light and some didn't. and then traffic commingling into the group and the next thing you know I was by myself. I don't think i'll fall for that again lol I think it might be one of those... lets see how many newbies we can get to drive around town aimlessly parades

yeah that sounds pretty crappy. Glad I didn't tell my kids there will be a parade, they would be excited to do it. But that's not really a parade.
