OfflineThis is always a fun event. No 4-wheel drive vehicle needed, but it's great to bring one.
DECEMBER 6, 2025
38th Annual 4×4 Gold Country Toy Run
Hosted by Hi-Landers 4WD Club
This event is open to everyone and a lot of fun!
Bring camping chairs, blankets, pop-ups, fire pits, heaters, your wallets and that positive attitude. This event is for a great cause and the main resource for our club’s ability to donate toys and food for families in need. In addition to the club donations, each member is encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or two. The toy cost is your choice but usually $5.00 or more, as well as additional any spare canned food items you may have.
Meet at McDonalds near Hazel Ave and Hwy 50 by 8:30AM. A lot of us get there early and grab a coffee and breakfast sandwich.
We will caravan across the street to the Folsom Aquatic Center before 9:00 and park along the far right.
The Hi-Landers have a snack booth with chips, hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, fries and drinks. We usually support them with buying from that as well. They have raffle prizes you can buy tickets and participate in. The more you buy the cheaper they are.
Sometimes club members will bring goodies to share, like cookies.
Santa is there all set up to take fun photos with, and the air is full of music from a great DJ! They usually have tables set up with activities for the kids (big and small).
Decorate your rig! They have a parade where the contestants drive by the crowd slowly and show off their efforts and then someone is picked a winner!
It usually lasts until about 1PM so stay as long as you would like to enjoy the comradery and the day.
There are bathrooms on site.
**Be sure to sign the registration book under our club!**
We have won most participation in the past so let’s keep the streak going!
Be there or be square!

OfflineHere are the promised details for the Toy Run items in need:
The 2026 Toy Run is supporting the Sacramento Sheriffs Toy Project and the El Dorado County Sheriffs Bearcat Toy Drive.
Both agencies support families in need. Toys are the main focus for both groups. Any age range is appreciated, but the older kids are the hardest.
So far as additional items:
- Socks in all sizes are the best bet, and solid colors that work for both boys and girls.
- The other thing needed is blankets or throws.
