Apple Hill Run #2

From: Sat Nov 07, 2009 7:30 am
To: Sat Nov 07, 2009 2:00 pm

This will be the second run to Apple Hill.

We'll meet at EDH starbucks on Hwy 50 and EDH blvd. Arrive by 715 for a 730 departure.

The plan is to hit about 5 ranches and depart before the crowds around noon.

Invited: Everyone

So my fam came up this weekend and we went to apple hill on sat. Of course we didnt get there untill 10ish because my fam slacks on the waking up early part. man was high hill a parking lot. i felt like i was going into san francisco waiting to pay the toll at the bridge. anyway, we still had fun and had some apple donuts... yummm... we even stopped by jack russel brewery for some cider 😀 . So my point is definitely stick to brads schedule as im sure that its much nicer when you dont have to sit in half an hours worth of traffic just to get some apple pie. 🙂

We went on Sunday as a going away for Lee and Pam. We arrived later than usual becuase my auto setting alarm clocks decided it was daylight savings time a week early.

We still were there before 830 and were done by 1045. Crowds were bad when we left, but that's normal. We stopped at Redhawk on the way back for a nice buffet lunch.

As this is already our 3rd trip to apple hill this year (and we now have 30lbs of our Arkansas Blacks), we will probably not be participating in the 11/7 run. We'll post back if we can make it.

Going away party? Shoot, he didn't even say, "Goodbye."

He told me he was trying to call people. I don't know what happened after that.

All I know is he got a new job as an Assistant Manager in Washington. I don't even know the city yet. Pam is staying down here for now, but will move up later.

Apple Hill should probably be low on your run priority list. 😀

That's about all my Jeep can handle right now until I get some new lower control arm bushings. 😥

What should be high on our priority list (serious question)???
I'm thinking we need a few work days to get all the bugs out of our rigs after the (moderate at best) wheeling season.

Yes! 😀

I've got my low gears now and I'm ready to go. mr-green

Few things on my fix-it list are:
1. Cut broken track bar bracket from frame.
2. Finish replacing the smaller diameter grade 5 shackle bolts with the large diameter grade 8 shackle bolts.

Next big project (not sure when): tube flares. Not sure how many runs I have left in the plastic ones.
