I am planning a Slick Rock Run for Saturday, August 25th. I don't remember where the trail heads are. I would like to run the trail in the direction that puts the big rock obstacle (that I get hung up on and have to pivot around) on the left side of the vehicle. Could someone who has run the trail with me let me know where that trailhead is? When I have that info, I will post details on meeting place and time. Who wants to go???
We are meeting at McDonalds in Angels Camp at 8:30am (33 N. Main St). We will be leaving at 9:00am. That should put us at the Spicer Meadow Road turnoff around 10:00am or slightly before, if anyone wants to meet just off the highway there, let me know so we can wait for you there.

Offline I have it on the calendar. Me and my youngest Son will go. As soon as you locate the start of the trail I most likely will just meet you there.
If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Does anyone know if the rerouting of Slick Rock moved the trailhead or just part of the trail?
Where are the trailheads located?

Offline Rich, I think you will want to run the trail starting at the south end and run north, that should put the big rock on the left side of the truck and it will be easier to get down the big rock waterfall or steps, what ever they call it. To get there, take HWY 4 east out of Angels Camp to Spicer Reservoir rd. Turn Right and follow to Forest Service rd 7N01 then 7N75 then 7N17. You can use this to look it up on google Earth, hope this helps. I cant make this trip so have fun with out me.

Depending on which map you are looking at, I've seen it as Spicer Meadow Road, Spicer Reservoir Road, 7N01, and 7N29Y.
Yes, we are running from south to north.
