Nice. Will look for you.
I was able to find some space in Bill's LJ.
Fire restrictions in effect for ENF (if you didn't know):
http://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/eldorado/ ... ?aid=13590
Wood and charcoal fires are prohibited except in designated developed campgrounds. A California Campfire permit is still needed for use of a gas stove or grill.
I've heard that you can use a dryer drum to contain a fire under such restrictions. Anyone have knowledge of this? Just curious as I don't think have enough time to source one.

Man I had a great time! Moonlight wheeling, tacos and great people mde this a fun time. The traffic wasn't as bad as I expected. There were a ton of amazing rigs to ogle at. The entertainment in the box was outstanding. (especially Rob). As for the bears I'll let Greg tell that story. let's just say the bear put them on a diet.
We ended up arriving at little sluce at around 11:30 Friday night. Camped there then sat we ran out to he spillway for tacos and raffle tickets. Rtf had a great turnout. Lots of people eating and checking out the vendors. Headed back to the little sluce and decided to hang out there again instead of continuing on to Buck. We ended doing a short night run from there and On the slab above the box Jeff broke a u joint. This locked up the steering and in trying to turn the hydro assist ram was ripped off the axle. This happened just after dark. After receiving help from some drunk box spectators, Joe skills, Jeff doing most of the work, my excellent flashlight skills, and a scout with an onboard welder, we were able to get back to camp at 3:00 am. I'm missing a lot of detail. Maybe Jeff can fill it in. Anyway we made it out by 12:30 on Sunday, despite a dodge with three wheel drive and questionable steering. I want to thank everyone for a great time. Can't wait for next time.

I had a great time too. It was nice to finally get to meet a lot of the forum members in person. You guys did a great job at peer pressuring me into running the Sluice

Explain...
Well, like Bill said, we pulled into camp by the box at about 1130. Not wanting to miss any of the excitement happening at the little sluice, I grabbed my flashlight out of my bag and in the process, without thinking, I threw my food bag onto my passenger seat and headed up to the box. I was at little sluice for maybe 45 minutes when some people were mentioning bears around so I headed back to camp. Just my luck, I can't find my food bag!! I ventured out with a few other campers and we found the remnants of my food bag. It was a kudos and cliff bar massacre.
Um...what?

(From another thread) I was going to suggest this method had I not gotten sick. 😐
I went up for the day today with my girls. Ran into these guys half way up Ice House road. Saw Joe and Sue at the northside campground of Loon leaving.
Joe won a battery from the raffle. I think Justin Gregory (whom I've not met but think its same guy on here sometimes) won a certificate for Metal Cloak.
