Christmas tree permits are now available for El Dorado National Forest online here: https://www.recreation.gov/tre.....0e43d29f74
Basically you print out and sheet of paper and put it on your dash.
This will be a loosely organized run as to maintain distancing. Bring your own food and family for a picnic in the snow. Better equipped rigs can do some snow wheeling. Parking and tree types change as the elevation climbs so the goal will be to stay in groups of 2 or 3 rigs to help each other out incase anyone gets stuck. I will monitor the club radio frequency to make sure everyone gets off the hill.
I was thinking of going up after the toy drive but we can also use this as a planning space if others want to go a different day. For those joining after the toy drive we will likely do the pre run meeting as we stage for toy drop off. Others joining later, note we will be monitoring Posse 2 while on the hill 151.760. You should be able to drive up and join up where ever we decide to start. If the snow is deep we will likely just hit MET. If the snow is thin then we may try a different area to avoid the crowds. More info at the drivers meeting and will be posted here before we leave for the toy drive.
