I see by the pictures that someone have been on the trail stacking rocks and filling in holes . Or is it just trick photography lol
Nope... No trick photography... Strange how on a closed trail that the rocks would settle naturally in all the right places to make it easier to get through...

Sorry I forgot to post Jeff.
Great run and Kyle met us in the parking lot before we headed out to give us a tentative update on the trail. Looks like if the rain holds off, Trails Unlimited will come in to start the repairs the last weekend in October (from the description kyle gave this would be equipment work with grading and not exactly volunteer work). We will find out more as the date gets closer and equipment is planned and moved to know exactly what will happen.
Thank you everyone who came out, we got a lot of trail work done. I ran through a whole tank on the chainsaw clearing to the upper spur trails. I also need to thank Kevin for helping me with the side spur. Despite coming late he still was put to work. We cleared about a half mile of saplings and ran nearly a second whole tank through my saw. We walked the last 1/8 mile up the trail through dense brush to find the old end of the spur. There is a confluence of a few small streams that were mostly dry but would be amazing for camping earlier in the year. We found a second side spur leading to an old hunting camp. Both sites look decent to re-open with only minor repairs to the water bars and clearing to the sites needed. Both sites would support multiple rigs and each had level area sufficient for tents. The main area was quite overgrown with 20+ yr old trees so it would be interesting to see what has changed since Brad was last up in there. We found at least 4 fire rings with a couple not having been used in decades.
