Hello everyone!
me and 2 other rigs are running the rubicon on Wednesday and Thursday July 14-15.
I’ll be staying the night in Tahoe that Thursday.
I would love to see Fordyce Creek trail. I do my trail research and am fully aware it is a very difficult trail. It would be really nice to drive to Sunrise Hill which is about 3.5 miles in and just before the first water crossing.

if anyone is willing to lead me or my friends to Sunrise on Friday am that would be awesome! My hero is a 2020 4door with 37s and lockers. As long as the rubicon run goes well it would be awesome to get a taste of Fordyce too.

I was referred here by local member Jeff R.
thanks again!

Welcome!

Winch Hill 1 is after the first water crossing.  Fordyce is much more difficult than the Rubicon.

A couple of us will be on a day trip across the Rubicon on the 15th.  So look for orange and silver jeep while you are there.  Where is your plan to camp?

I tried to post a pic of my jeep but the image is too large. we have 3 rigs, red JL, blue JL and a sliver 4runner! I know that after the water crossing the Fordyce gets crazy difficult. I believe water flow was just raised to 150 from 75.

The water crossings aren't difficult, just can be deep.  High flows are dangerous however.  Water is only increased during the load pull in the evening because of the draught.  So flows get bad around 4PM.  you'd be stuck until about 8PM.

Would love to take along but replacement PS pump and Alternator aren’t scheduled to arrive till 7/16 so won’t have the 4Runner running till after this weekend.
