Offline I am out for Sunday. Thanks for the offer. I looked under my jeep at the mashed gas tank skid and decided to wait until my new one is installed.
I do still want to run the trail however. I just need about two weeks.

Offline I don't need much notice. As long as I dont have any meetings or events planned, I can take as much time off as I need. I currently have a little over 1000 hours of vacation and comp time on the books. I think I am good

I haven't had sidewall problems on the Rubicon.
Someone thought I was kidding about the long pieces of rebar sticking out on cadillac, or thought they would have been removed or covered by the time he went through. This guy does drive the trail kind of fast though. His 3rd DNF of a mtr this year.
I've seen the re-bar. I've just never tried to drive over it.
Also, I have the full warranty on my tires too! Free replace if I tear a sidewall.
In Posse style I'll keep this off topic. Usually just a piece or two had been exposed and the rest was covered with debris, the last time i was there it was if the trail had been swept clean. We actually had to look for rocks to stack for one of the rigs. Of the five he has DNF'D Goodyear only replaced the first one, they claimed it was abuse.

Offline I have abused the heck out of my 40 Kevlars and yet to tear a sidewall. My old style MTRs, I tore sidewalks on around 15 tires. Some with 8 to 10 inch sidewall cuts and some of the tires were only a day old when I brought them back. Goodyear never hassled me once. They replaced them no questions asked!!!

In speaking with 4-wheel parts, they are a "no questions asked" warranty as well.

Offline It is going to be just me too on Sunday. We will be able to make good time with just two rigs on 40's 😈
I am actually heading up to Fordyce tomorrow to run the trail with Bret from FOF. He is giving a guy a ride to WH 1 to help fix his TJ. The factory radiator blew the top off. Busy weekend..Fordyce Friday, yard work Saturday, and Fordyce on Sunday, and couch surfing on Monday

Offline My TJ radiator failed at 17,000 miles. It was crap. I now run a modine all brass one and haven't had a problem since.

Offline Just wondering, would either of you be willing to take a passenger who has never been on Fordyce? I'm really good at pulling winch line, shoveling, stacking rocks and fetching drinks. I could also chip in for fuel or buy breakfast. PM me if you are interested in entertaining my offer.

Offline You can have my passenger seat if you want. You could meet us at sweet peas at 6am or 6:40ish and park your car there for the day..Bring lunch and drinks, you can throw them in my ice chest..

Offline We went in yesterday for the rescue on the TJ with the blown radiator. This guy was following me up drive line hill and chose the wrong line. Ouch We got him winched back on all 4's, but hehad to turn around. He broke a motor mount when he flopped.

Offline This is the TJ we rescued. The top on his radiator blew apart. The cap didn't release pressure and then blew up like a small bomb 😯 30 minutes to put a new radiator in and we were on the trail out.

Offline He wa a friend of the guy in the broke down TJ. He wa just tagging along and his friend in the passenger seat was a little shook up after the roll. Probably best they turned around and went home!!! It was a Toyota that flopped!
