I'm working on my jeep this weekend.
My wife has given me the day off If I get it fixed, and my yard chores done.
I'd really like to make this trip.
Lets have a work party and get your rig up and running so you can make the trip...

My axle and tie rod are supposed to be ready next Monday or Tuesday. If something happens and it is not ready by the run, can I ride with you. I am a great back seat driver ![]()

Justin.... your BUSTED!! haha.
Skippin the rubicon for fordyce? Oh well, be sure to take pics then. We will probably be fine and make our way through without getting off track. Besides there are a few other guys from the sac crawlers going that know the trail pretty good and i think we will be going with them.
Is anyone from here going to be running the Sierra Trek? Me and my dad will be going in my truck.

We went in like 4 miles in the snow, i think it was in december. We got to the off camber section with the cliff to the left and slid the front twords the edge and had to get strapped out by a jeep.
The jeeps went another 50 yards, got stuck and spent a few hours turning around. But other than that, no we havent. I would much rather run fordyce because of the closeness, only like a half hour from me. But there are already a few others that were going to go with us on the rubicon. We might be able to see if they want to do it another time though. My dad and i would like to run fordyce with a group of guys who know what they are doing before we go on the sierra trek. Ill talk to him and see what he thinks. Also it would be nice to meet some of you. Now i am leaning to go with you all, but it all depends on if the other guys are ok with canceling.

This would be a good trip to go on. There will be all different skill levels on this trip. John and I are leading the trip and we will be slow and go making sure everyone makes it through OK. Maybe you will get a chance to use your Toyota to strap the President of the club. He seems to need a strap everytine he goes on Fordyce

It rained here all day yesterday so hopefully it'll delay the closure a bit, but, I'm sure the closure will happen sooner than later this year so I'm making a point of being on this run.
