We don't talk about that around here.

That's what we were hoping for. We will be running some of the harder trails; Outer Limits, Wrecking Ball, and Highway 20. Bring it on!!!
by the time you get down there all the rocks will be stacked for you 😀
you might try Back Door Resolution...wild trail! I spend most of race day there...back door was boring so I hiked up and around to the Resolution trail.

Two weeks left...not too late to sign up for this run 😈
Vehicle requirements:
33" + tires (35"+ would be better)
Lockers front and rear
Low gears (4:1 a bonus)
Good working winch
Good attitude about dents or breakage
We plan on running some pretty gnarly trails (Wrecking Ball, Highway 20, etc.)
I used to wheel a lot. . .

Actually, I'm trying to work out a family vacation to Colorado next year. I can trailer my Jeep to my Sister-in-law's house in Grand Junction where my wife and kids can stay while I go out wheeling. I could take off to go wheeling for a couple of days, then return and pick them up. From what I can tell, Colorado has some fantastic wheeling places. We could even hit Moab on the way home (right on the way).

Since it's just a two rig run (Rob and Myself), we'll have to run the trails in a progressive order. We'll start with the easiest trail first and work up to the harder ones. This way, if we have a big failure on the harder trails, we'll at least get a few days of wheeling in before we have to head home.
Sun = North Jack (late run (short))
Mon = Sledge Hammer (in town early)
Tues = Outer Limits
Wed = Wrecking Ball
Thur = Highway 20
Fri = Leave for Home

That's the spirit. Sounds like a fun trip!

Nope...all by our lonesomes 😈
It was kinda nice being on our own last year. The SoCal guys are okay, but it's nice wheeling/camping with guys you know you like. Low risk

I would go but I don't think my jeep could handle itself down there. Someday 🙄
This site might help you get some new recruits. http://rubiconscat.com/Hammers.....erHome.htm

The only thing anybody's Jeep would need is 35" tires, low gears, two lockers, a winch, and skid plates. We wheeled with a guy two years ago that runs a YJ with 35s. He goes everywhere down there. It's not really much harder than Fordyce, except there's a lot more of it. For instance, Jack Hammer is like running Fordyce Winch Hill #1 (5 times back to back).
