Anyone up for going on a day run July 5th? I don't have anywhere specific in mind so I'm open for suggestions.

Edit) We will be doing the Hellhole Reservoir Trail. Meeting time is 7:00 am in Georgetown, departing shortly thereafter. We'll be on CB channel 10.

Edit 2) It seems the holiday weekend wasn't the best weekend to try to make this run. We'll schedule another trip to Hellhole when more people can make it.

I have no plans for that day. I will go.

Do you think Barret will be open by then?

Not sure. Anyone know how to find out?

One trail I haven't been on in a few years is Hellhole.

I was just telling John on Monday that I wanted to run Hellhole. I have never done that one. I would be up for that also.

I just called ENF, and Barret is not open yet. They are thinking maybe mid to late July. They just opened the gates to the camp ground and some of the sites were still soggy.

Let's plan on Hellhole then. I update the title.

I'm not sure yet, but I think we want to get an early start. It's a fairly long drive to get to the trail. I'm looking for an online map or directions.

I can't go, but I have a decent GIS map of the trail I can send if anyone is interested.

You don't need a map. It's very easy to get to. You run up wentworth springs and follow the signs. It is a LONG way to the trailhead. I think it's further than the rubicon. I think it was 28 miles off of Wentworth. AND it was only about 17 to the Rubicon from the sign.

I need to tak with Kat about plans. This might be a good run to break in the JK!

Perfect trail for the JK. Little risk of body damage and enough obstacles to test it out.

I used to wheel a lot. . .

I was just surfing looking for a map. Not having much luck. I found my Northern off road book. I will look at it tonight and see if its in there.

It'll be a shake-down run for both of our Jeeps.

I may look into camping somewhere Friday night. It would just be a drive up and look for a spot at the trail head or something. Regular camping spots are going to be hard to find, with it being the 4th.

Baby steps. I think I need to get over to prarie city first and see if I rip off my brake lines, or ABS lines with the new flex. I'll try to get over there this week.

Want to run over there tomorrow (Thursday) evening or Sunday? It wouldn't hurt for me to check out my Jeep too. I'm not so worried about any added flex with my mods, but I need to check for clearance between the Swayloc arms and tires.
