If we push it to Sunday I could go/lead it. The July 21?

I should be able to make 20Jul or 21Jul if my JK is back. It is at the dealer with the dreaded Pentastar head issue 🙁

I've been planning on running this one.

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

Logan and I are in...

Either day, or an overnighter is good with us!

It would be a day run that goes in Loon and out Wentworth. This is a reasonable day run for mildly built rigs. However this wouldn't be a camping style run.

Ok sounds like we have some interest. Again this is a proposed beginner half Rubicon run in July.

I will lead this run; however, I'm still somewhat new to this trail. I would like some help from the club veterans if your willing to help!

Date: Saturday July 20th *Proposed*
Time: 9:00 am
Starting point: Loon Lake
Finish point: Wentworth Springs road

Goal: Have as much fun as possible in a Jeep on the Rubicon!

Ok I am now in full control. Lol this run is a go but has been moved to Sunday July 21st

Date: Sunday July 21st
Time: 9:00 am
Starting point: Loon Lake
Finish point: Wentworth Springs road

Goal: Have as much fun as possible in a Dodge on the Rubicon!

If you have a ball of fun in a Dodge that would be "Dodge ball"

If I can't build it, then it's something that should be bought.

We will be meeting at loon lake at the staging area. Feel free to meet up with others for caravanning or we will see you there. I will be heading through George Town to grab breakfast at the Conner cafe before hitting loon. I am setting cb channel 12 for this run.

I will be at Safeway in Pollock Pines around 7:00 to leave at 7:30ish if anyone wants to head up from 50 via Ice House Rd. Its a little over an hour from Pollock, so this leaves a little wiggle room. C&T's in town has good breakfast for cheap right across the same parking lot (over by Taco Bell).

Jason, a recent new guest from the last couple meetings, will be attending this run. He will be meeting you guys at the staging area towing his red Toyota. I can't remember if it's a 4runner or truck. It does have a canvas-like cover on the rear. 😀

By Google Maps it's 2-1/2 hours to Loon Lake. I'm figuring leaving 6:15 to 6:30.

Up early tomorrow to pack. Gonna take it easy on the way up so as not to blow oil past the main a second time.

Brian, Ray and I are meeting here in Elk Grove and driving up together. We'll stop for gas and lunch at the Subway/Shell after seeing you at the Safeway. We should be up there short of 730.

How was the run Jeff? Did you meet any other rigs on the trail?

Great run. Jeff thanks for taking the lead. We had a great time. We saw a number of rigs coming into Loon. Several had come from Wentworth but thankfully we did not run into any on that part of the trail.

I hope everyone made it home without issue.
