Hey everyone, after listening to the HS4X4 podcast today and hearing the guys mention that trails will be closing soon if they haven't already, I decided to go on a last minute run this Sunday Nov 20th. My plan is to go up hwy 50 and then to the Rubicon Trail entrance. Kris informs that the entrance from the other side on Blackwood Canyon was closed on the 15th. Shortly after the entrance we turn off the Con and head towards Ellis Peak. If others are interested we could explore Bear Lake that Kris suggested to me. After the run I plan to stop somewhere for a late lunch and head back home. The trail to Ellis Peak is Moderate and I think any 4wheel drive could handle it. The view up there is incredible!! I don't have any personal experience with the trail to Bear Lake. The top of Ellis Peak is 8,740' and overlooks Lake Tahoe

Bring a buddy. You'll have snow up there. And fresh snow too!
I didn't think this weather was coming until tomorrow. Do you think its ok to make a run up there with just one rig? I'm thinking I may have to go somewhere else. I need to go somewhere. Been cooped up in the city for too long. need some tree time
